Meet the Duke, Pilgrim!

Molly's first Christmas season was surely a busy one. Besides being dressed up as Molly Claus, against her will, she attended her first Family Reunion. Now, at the reunion was my Niece's dog, Duke. Duke is a Jack Russel/Pug mix breed and has the energy of a kid on a constant candy rush. So we took our chances (because Daddy was real worried about this) and put these two cousins together.

As it turned out, they were inseparable. They played every minute they were awake and I mean sort of rough. But apparently, my Molly likes it that way. They would run around the house end to end wrestling, playing and just loving each others company. It was cute. It was also a much needed break for Mommy because usually Mommy and Molly are inseparable. So Mommy was enjoying her "time off" and was very much appreciative of Duke keeping Molly otherwise occupied.

I tell you, it was so bad that Molly could not wait to awake the following morning and see Duke. They were staying with us for the week. Everywhere Duke went, Molly was in tow. They even had to go outside together and go potty together. Kind of creepy thinking about it. It was probably good for Duke too because he has a creepy attachment to his grandma; but this story is not about Duke so he can get his own blog.

It was a hectic and exciting Christmas holiday for Molly. So many people to meet and bark at and of course Duke. I don't think she forgot about Duke and she still thinks about him a lot. Maybe they will meet again someday but when that happens Duke should keep in mind that Molly is grown now, so...careful big guy!
